Bank & Payment Integrations

Bank feeds, M-Pesa collections, wallets, and payments that land against the right lease.

Bank & Payment Integrations — Kenyan property management

What It Is

The money side of the platform: M-Pesa and bank payments arriving against your properties, recognised, attributed to the right tenant and posted to the ledger without anyone retyping them.

How It Works

Each property or account carries its own payment reference, and incoming payments are matched on that reference to the lease that owes the money. References are normalised on both sides before comparison, so a tenant who types a reference with the wrong spacing or case is still recognised. Payments that cannot be attributed are held in a suspense view with suggested units and a one-click allocation rather than being guessed at. Everything that lands is written once through a single receiving path, so the same payment cannot be recorded twice.

Why It Matters

In Kenya rent arrives by M-Pesa and bank transfer all day, in any format the payer chooses. The gap between money hitting the account and money appearing against the right tenant is where disputes, duplicate invoices and “but I already paid” conversations come from.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about this feature.

What happens to a payment with no usable reference?

It is held in a suspense view with suggested matching units and allocated by a person in one click. Nothing is auto-attributed on a guess.

Can several properties share one bank account?

Yes. Accounts can be shared across properties, with per-property payment references distinguishing what belongs to whom.
