Admin → Branding → /branding-studio
Branding Studio is where you decide how your documents look. You set a mark, a palette, a typeface, a page size and the standing wording that prints in headers and footers — and the documents the platform generates carry it.
Only administrators can open it.
Two scopes
The rail on the left lists exactly two:
| Scope | Applies to |
|---|---|
| Organisation | Every property, unless the property sets its own. |
| This property | This property only, overriding the organisation. |
Selecting one loads its settings; the studio tells you in words which you are editing.
What you can set
| Section | What it controls |
|---|---|
| Identity | The profile's name, and a reminder of which scope you are editing. |
| Logo | Your mark. PNG, JPG or WebP — SVG is not accepted. You can set the printed width and height, and preview it on a transparent, white or brand backdrop. |
| Colours | Five roles: primary (headings, table headers, totals), secondary (statement tables, badges), tertiary (rules and dividers), success (receipts, credits) and danger (overdue callouts). Each shows a contrast hint against white. |
| Typography | The font stack, and sizes for body text and two heading levels. |
| Page & margins | A4, Letter or Legal, and the four margins in millimetres, with compact/standard/spacious presets. |
| Header & footer | Whether each prints, and what goes in each slot. Insert {{org_name}}, {{phone}}, {{email}}, {{website}}, {{page_number}} or {{generated_at}} from the chips. |
| Organisation | Legal name, tax PIN, address, phone, email and website as they print on documents. |
| Legal notes | A disclaimer and a confidentiality note for document footers. |
The centre pane previews an invoice, receipt, statement or letter as you edit. Zoom with the −
and + controls, or click the percentage to snap back to fit-to-width.
Saving
Save becomes available once you have made a change, and Cmd/Ctrl + S works too. If you
try to switch scope, leave the page or close the tab with unsaved edits, you are asked first.
What your branding actually reaches
This is the part worth being precise about, because it is not yet everything.
| Carries the full profile — colours, type, margins, header and footer | Carries the logo only |
|---|---|
| Letters and the letter email | Invoices |
| Demand letters | Receipts |
| Ad-hoc documents — invoices, quotes, proformas, receipts | Statements |
| Owner statements | The app sidebar and property switcher |
| Security deposit reports | |
| Branded outbound email | |
| Public forms you share |
Your organisation's primary and secondary colours are also applied to the app itself when you sign in.
Setting a logo without opening the studio
You do not have to come here just to change a mark. Organisation → Edit, and any property's Edit page, both carry a Logo card that does the same job, and the two stay in step.
A property with no logo of its own shows the organisation's, and says so. Remove only appears when the property has its own mark to remove — removing it falls back to the organisation's rather than leaving a blank.
Common problems
| Symptom | Cause |
|---|---|
| An SVG will not upload | SVG is not accepted anywhere. Use PNG, JPG or WebP. |
| The logo prints soft | It is smaller than the printed size needs. The studio warns when the image is below the threshold. |
| An invoice ignores my colours | Expected for now — invoices, receipts and statements carry the logo but not the rest of the profile. |
| I cannot find the property I want to brand | Switch to that property first. The studio brands the one you are currently in. |
| The preview shows somebody else's name | It is sample data. |
